What is this?

  • Refactoring - changing internal architecture and component structure to improve code quality, maintainability and shorten future development or bug-fix times.
  • Techstack update - updating only the technology version or stack without changing the code or functionality of the application - such as changing Java 6 to Java 7.
  • Reengineering - makeing an app meet specific requirements (like 12 factors) or improving/removing/replacing an outdated library or tool.
